The Junior Red Cross was established in 1922 in the hope of encouraging younger generations to cultivate their humanitarian spirit by understanding the Red Cross principles and ideas, and by participating actively in the Movement. The overarching idea behind the Junior Red Cross is to enable the country’s youth, so that they may one day contribute, in their own way, to the establishment of world peace and the welfare of Mankind.
Junior Red Cross. The Junior Red Cross is the student's wing of the Red Cross Society.It is a students's movement organized within schools.Pupils who are actively involved in Junior Red Cross activities are known as 'Juniors'.The Teachers guiding the pupils in JRC activities are called "COUNSELLORS"

The Red Cross Society aims to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times, all forms of humanitarian activities so the human suffering can be minimized, alleviated and even prevented, and thus contribute to creating a more congenial atmosphere for peace.
Red Cross Flags in correct dimensions, at least two in number should be in the possession of the school JRC executive committee and its counselor(s). The flag should be unfurled at JRC meetings and functions. The Red Cross Emblem may be made by making four squares on all sides of a central square. Flag Length – 122 Cms. – Width – 184 Cms.
